Abstract

A study of 47 cases of umbilical hernias with compartment syndrome secondary to liver pathology with ascites, resolved by anterior fenestration with fluid drainage in the anterior subcutaneous wall over 2008-2018 chirurgical treated at IMSP SCM ,,Sf. Arhanghel Mihail’’. The study’s focus is the redirection of the ascitic fluid absorption to the inferior vena cava from the portal vein. Remote chirurgical postintervention analysis allows to ascertain the effectiveness of the applied method in resolving compartment syndrome secondary of cirrhotic ascites.
