Abstract

In the clinical study there were 12 patients with viral hepatitis B+D, aged between 18-55 years, of which 7 men and 5 women. The diagnosis was established based on anamnestic, clinical, biochemical, molecular biological, serological and imaging data. Combined treatment with nucleic acid polymers (REP 2139-Ca) and pegylated interferons was performed for 48 weeks with 1-year post-treatment follow-up. A functional cure expressed by anti-HBs seroconversion was found in 5 patients out of 12, VHD-RNA negativity in 8 patients out of 12, and HBV-DNA was undetectable in all patients and normalization of cytolysis syndrome indices at 1 year posttreatment follow-up.
