Abstract

Cardiac arrhythmias constitute an emergency in cardiology due to the negative consequences on life prognosis. The most common causes of arrhythmias are cardiovascular comorbidities. It was determined that the most frequent comorbidity accompanying atrial fibrillation was arterial hypertension (95,23%), followed by heart failure (79,76%), ischemic, hypertrophic, mixed heart disease (77,38%) and angina pectoris (69,04%). The treatment of atrial fibrillation in patients with heart failure responded well to amiodarone, and in patients with hypertension and arrhythmia - to beta-adrenoblockers, drugs that inhibit the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. Amiodarone can be used safely in patients with left ventricular dysfunction after myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, or hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Beta-adrenoblockers have shown little effectiveness in patients with atrial fibrillation and heart failure.
