Our experience in the treatment of disseminated forms of echinococcosis

The results of the surgical treatment of 58 patients with disseminated forms of echinococcosis (primary and secondary echinococcus multilocularis) were analyzed. The most common combinations in the localization of cysts were identified. Coordinated diagnostic monitoring facilitates scope planning and surgery sequencing. Surgical treatment remains the only radical form of treatment. We recommend performing simultaneous operations using modern techniques. Surgical treatment in generalized forms should be performed in several stages to improve treatment outcomes and reduce postoperative mortality. Postoperative rehabilitation should be combined with antiparasitic therapy to prevent relapse.
