his article presents a synthesis of publications from the relevant scientific literature, addressed to the importance of nutritional treatment în patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Various restrictive and elimination diets are critically reviewed from the perspective of evidence-based medicine, including: exclusive enteral nutrition, low-FODMAP, specific carbohydrate, paleolithic, anti-inflammatory, CD-TREAT, and other diets. Although there are countless books and websites on „medical nutrition” în IBD, there is no conclusive evidence to support restrictive diets în IBD patients. Thus, current recommendations for these patients should rather focus on a healthy and balanced diet, based on natural, unprocessed products, rather than limiting and/or adding certain dietary components. în addition, patients with IBD should be encouraged to practice appropriate physical activity, which during the remission period should not differ from that recommended for healthy people.
