Open Access Policy
The journal "Public Health, Economics and Management in Medicine" is an open-access publication. The journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that making research results available to the public free of charge supports a broader global exchange of knowledge.
The author(s) and copyright holder(s) grant all users free access to articles published in the journal Public Health, Economics and Management in Medicine. Articles may be used provided they are properly cited.
The Open Access Policy is based on the guidelines of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). “Open access” to peer-reviewed research literature means free availability on the public internet, allowing any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, to index them, to feed them as data into software applications, or to use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inherent in accessing the internet. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the sole role of copyright in this area, should be to provide authors with control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.
Article Processing Charges
No fees are charged during the manuscript submission, editorial assessment, peer-review, or revision stages.
After acceptance of the manuscript for publication, authors contribute to covering the costs associated with linguistic standardization, editorial processing, and indexing of manuscripts. The Article Processing Charges (APCs) are as follows:
- 720.00 MDL (EUR 35.00) for authors from the Republic of Moldova;
- 2,000.00 MDL (EUR 100.00) for international authors
Authors publishing short communications, informational notes, commemorative materials, or other brief contributions may be exempt from these charges at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
There are no charges for rejected manuscripts, and no additional fees are applied based on article length, the use of color, figures, or supplementary data.
For scientific events organized in collaboration with the journal, publication costs are covered by the event organizers.
The author’s institution, the research sponsor, a third-party sponsor, or the author/s may pay the APC. The budgets of medical institutions in the Republic of Moldova are adjusted to provide funding for article processing charges required for publication. A portion of their research budget is transferred from knowledge creation to knowledge dissemination. Many funding agencies permit the use of grants to cover APCs. An increasing number of funders and agencies strongly encourage open-access publishing.
Licensing Policy
Starting 2026, the journal "Public Health, Economics and Management in Medicine" applies the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license to all published articles.
This license allows third parties to copy and redistribute this work in any medium or format for non-commercial purposes, to remix, transform, and build upon the work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author and the original work. Authors agree to transfer commercial rights to the Public Association “Constantin EȚCO” for Economics, Management, and Psychology in Medicine, should the article be accepted for publication.
Open access is an approach that supports interdisciplinary development and encourages collaboration across different fields. Therefore, the journal Public Health, Economics, and Management in Medicine contributes to the scientific publishing literature by offering broader access to its articles and through a more transparent review process.
Self-Archiving Policy
Authors are encouraged to post their articles on personal websites and to deposit them in institutional repositories after publication (while providing complete bibliographic details and a link to the original publication).
