Abstract

PACG accounts for 1/3 of all diagnosed glaucoma. Characterized by an aggressive manifestation, it is responsible for 50% of cases of blindness due to glaucoma. The prevalence of PACG in the population represents 0.67%, in the Asian population being between 1.7-10.1%. Efficient and safe diagnosis and treatment of PACGs are the main directions in preventing glaucoma blindness.
