Archiving and preservatoin
Digital preservation is a set of processes and activities that ensure the retrieval and distribution of information currently available in digital formats to guarantee perpetual and long-term access. The preservation policy includes the following measures:
Website archiving
All electronic content (website, manuscript, etc.) is stored in two different locations. The content on a server is online and accessible to readers. A backup of the same content is made monthly and stored in a secure location. In the event that a server fails, the website is restored and becomes available within 36–48 hours.
Preservation
The preservation of the journal’s content is carried out through the PKP Preservation Network service.
Indexing Services
Our journal’s abstracting/indexing services store essential information about articles. In addition, some of our journal’s abstracting/indexing services archive article metadata and electronic versions of the articles. In this way, copies of the articles are made available to the scientific community through these systems, as an alternative to the journals.
Archiving Policy
The Editorial Board of the Journal of Public Health, Economics, and Management in Medicine is responsible for preserving the content. The archiving policy addresses the selection, storage, and access to the journal’s archives and includes the following objectives: ensuring that archival materials comply with archival standards; registering and publishing articles in accordance with professional requirements; and ensuring broad access to archived material, as provided by editorial practice.
The PHEMM Journal editorial board deposits published articles in several digital archives worldwide to ensure long-term digital preservation. The PHEMM Journal stores its full-text archives on:
– the PHEMM Journal website
– the external server of the National Bibliometric Tool
– the server of the Scientific Medical Library
The information in the scientific electronic libraries complies with digital data storage standards, and anyone can use the advanced search for journal articles, keywords, author, and title. The link to the full text of the article is highlighted on their homepage. The SPEMM editorial board enters article metadata, including DOIs, into all databases for the purpose of long-term preservation and restoration.
Self-archiving policy
Authors are encouraged to deposit published version of the article on personal websites and in institutional repositories (while providing complete bibliographic details and a link to the original publication).
