Goal, aims and scope

The Public Health, Economy and Management in Medicine Journal was founded in 2003 by the Public Association "Association for Economics, Management and Psychology in Medicine «Constantin EȚCO»" with the aim of expanding access for researchers, including young researchers, in the fields of Public Health, Economics and Management in Medicine, as well as psychological aspects, to the publication of scientific research results, thereby facilitating the exchange of scientific and practical outcomes of projects conducted by national researchers.

Subsequently, the journal welcomed the publication of scientific project results from most fields relevant to the healthcare system, giving priority to research and clinical publications, as well as publications dedicated to the economic and managerial aspects of the healthcare system. A number of articles have a methodological focus on the conduct of the research process. Several articles address the history of medicine in Bessarabia, beginning with the 18th–19th centuries and continuing through the history of the Republic of Moldova in the 20th–21st centuries.

The Public Health, Economy and Management in Medicine Journal is a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal that publishes medico-social, clinical, experimental, fundamental, and original research in the fields of medicine and health sciences. Manuscript evaluation is based primarily on external and independent peer review, with reviewers selected from recognized experts in the relevant disciplines. The journal aims to serve as a reliable scientific platform where researchers in medicine and health sciences can disseminate their findings and where published articles may be widely used as authoritative references within the scientific community.

Studies that emphasize these objectives form the basis for publication and include original articles, review articles, case reports, scientific essays on the history of medicine in Bessarabia and Moldova, monograph reviews, and letters to and from the editor. One section of the journal is dedicated to research methodology and scientific writing. The journal also places special emphasis on scientific materials presented at congresses and conferences, publishing both full scientific articles and specialized abstracts.

All articles must be submitted exclusively to the Editorial Board of the Public Health, Economy and Management in Medicine Journal, accompanied by a statement confirming that they have not been published previously, either in print or electronic format, and are not simultaneously under consideration for publication by any other journal or electronic platform.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial assessment by the Editorial Board to verify their compliance with the journal’s editorial policies. Manuscripts deemed suitable are subsequently sent for evaluation through a double-blind peer-review process. Following the receipt of reviewers’ reports, the manuscripts are assessed, and the first editorial decision is communicated to the corresponding author within two months.

The editorial and publication process of the Public Health, Economy and Management in Medicine Journal is structured in accordance with the guidelines developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), the Council of Science Editors (CSE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and the National Information Standards Organization (NISO).

The journal adheres to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
