The Journal of Public Health, Economics and Management in Medicine (PHEMM) is an international scientific-practical, open-access journal that covers all fields of health sciences.

The journal is classified as Category B according to the national classification system and is registered with the Book Chamber.

Periodicity
According to the Founder's Statute, between 2 and 4 regular journals are published annually, in accordance with the requests and available resources. The journal may respond positively to the request to publish the Materials of National Conferences and Congresses, and international symposia.

About the journal
The Journal of Public Health, Economics and Management in Medicine (PHEMM) receives article submissions from scientists and researchers worldwide, particularly those relevant to Eastern European countries and other transition countries around the world. The journal also addresses specialists in fields related to healthcare systems, such as public health with managerial and clinical aspects, including pharmacological aspects, prevention and rehabilitation, economics with a focus on medicine, psychology in medicine, and other areas aimed at strengthening population health. The Journal of Public Health, Economics and Management in Medicine seeks to prioritize national publications while fostering international collaboration, ensuring visibility, readability, and citability. It is a fully open-access journal available online without any embargo period. The printed version is distributed through direct subscription.

PHEMM welcomes for publication the results of scientific research, including literature reviews/syntheses and articles dedicated to research methodology. In this regard, it is open to undergraduate students, master’s students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, as well as academic staff. Given its scientific-practical character, it is also intended for professionals working in primary and hospital healthcare institutions. The journal’s target audience is diverse and may vary from one issue to another.

Founder and publisher of the journal
The founder and publisher of the Journal is the Public Association Association of Economics, Management and Psychology in Medicine “Constantin EȚCO”, established in 2000 and re-registered in accordance with national law in 2023 as the Public Association Association of Economics, Management and Psychology in Medicine “Constantin EȚCO”. The journal was founded in 2003.

The Association brings together specialists from various health-related fields: Public Health; Health Systems Management and Health Insurance; Health Economics; Psychology in Medicine; Preventive Medicine; Surgery; Women’s Health; Obstetrics/Gynecology; Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology; Primary Health Care; Research Methodology; and Statistics. Of the Association’s members, 80% hold a PhD or Doctor Habilitatus degree in Medical Sciences, 50% have experience as high-level national and municipal managers, and the remainder have both practical and academic experience.

Indexing
Our journal’s indexing services store essential information about articles. In addition, some of our journal’s indexing services archive article metadata and electronic versions of the articles. In this way, copies of the articles are made available to the scientific community through these systems, as an alternative to the journal itself.
